The Macomb County Health Department is hosting a free two-part infant safe sleep event for anyone who is pregnant, or a parent or caregiver of an infant under the age of one. Part one of the two-part series is a virtual workshop that will focus on best safe sleep practices, breastfeeding safely and reducing infant mortality in Macomb County. Part two is an in-person event for part one participants to receive gift bags, win raffle prizes and talk to vendors about community resources.
“This is a great opportunity to get access to valuable information and educational resources that can help reduce some of the uncertainty that comes along with a new baby,” said Cheryl Woods, division director of Family Health Services at the Macomb County Health Department. “We encourage anyone who is pregnant, or a parent or caregiver of an infant under the age of one to take advantage of this no-cost opportunity.”
