State Representative Doug Wozniak (R-Shelby Township) has welcomed the recent signing of a road funding package in Macomb County. He described the measure as an important move to address Michigan’s infrastructure and improve safety for drivers.

“This road funding package is real action that Michiganders have been promised,” said Wozniak. “Macomb County and all Michigan residents have waited too long for safer, smoother roads. This plan delivers meaningful investment without raising taxes.”

The bipartisan initiative allocates $1.6 billion to road and bridge projects across the state, with a focus on directing resources toward local improvements. According to officials, the funds will be dedicated solely to transportation infrastructure, ensuring that money is not redirected to unrelated uses.

“Passing this funding is the first step,” Wozniak stated. “We will work with local and county officials to ensure projects are completed efficiently and transparently. Now it’s about safer roads, stronger communities, and accountability for every dollar spent.”
