Prosecutor Eric Smith issued the following announcement on Sept. 6.
The 12th Annual Tara’s Walk will take place Saturday, Sept, 28, in Sterling Heights. The walk was created to bring awareness about domestic violence and help domestic-violence survivors.
Tara Grant was murdered by her husband, Stephen Grant, in the couple’s Washington Township home in 2007. Grant, prosecuted by Prosecutor Eric Smith, was convicted of second-degree murder in Macomb County Circuit Court, and is serving 50 years in prison.
