Macomb County Emergency Management issued the following announcement on April 26.

US National Weather Service Detroit / Pontiac Michigan issued a Lakeshore Flood Warning for #MacombCounty until April 26 at 4:00PM EDT.

Significant lakeshore flooding expected. Numerous roads closed and low lying property including parking lots, lawns, and homes and businesses will be inundated near the lake.

Northeast winds of 10 to 15 mph with a few gusts around 20 mph are expected today. Sustained wind speeds will increase slightly tonight and persist Sunday with gusts reaching 25 to 30 mph Sunday afternoon. High waves in combination with the high water levels of Lake St. Clair will cause water to pile up along the shoreline. #StaySafe
