MACOMB TOWNSHIP: All Macomb Township Buildings shall be closed to the public

Macomb Township issued the following announcement on March 16.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That by direction of the Township Supervisor, all Macomb Township Buildings shall be closed to the public immediately in an effort to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Macomb Township State of Emergency Declaration March 18.

The Township will continue to serve the public through telecommunications, e-mail and the Township website www.macomb-mi.gov.

All Postal Deliveries including USPS, Fed-Ex, UPS need to contact Carl D’Andrea at (586) 940-1020 and he will receive the packages.

Effective March 16, 2020:

• All Parks & Recreation programs canceled until May 1, 2020.

• All Parks closed until further notice.

• Senior center closed and all program canceled until further notice.

• Township business travel canceled until further notice.

• Non-essential building inspections canceled until further notice.

• Sales verifications by Assessing Department canceled until further notice.

• All other assessing inspections other than new construction are postponed until further notice.

• Home repairs other than health, safety, and wellness are postponed until further notice.

• Deck box located in front of Townhall for building, engineering, and planning drop-offs.

• Deck box located in front of Water & Sewer building for drop-offs.

Although public safety buildings will be closed to the public, our first responders will continue with daily operations as usual. Please utilize the township website for updated information, paying water bills and applying for permits. We appreciate the patience and cooperation from all our residents while navigating through this unprecedented time.
