Sen. Michael D. MacDonald (R-Macomb Township) presented a rare Assyrian Bible to State Librarian Randy Riley on Jan. 22. The Bible was donated by His Grace Mar Paulus Benjamin, diocesan bishop of the Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church of the East – Diocese of the Eastern USA and will be on display at the Library of Michigan in Lansing.
MacDonald will also host a small business roundtable at noon Friday, Feb. 7 at the Clinton-Macomb Main Library at 40900 Romeo Plank, Clinton Township. Topics of discussion will include the state's priorities and budget. RSVPs can be called in to MacDonald's office at 517-373-7315.
MacDonald has represented the 10th District since November 2018. He serves on the Appropriations Committee, the Oversight Committee and the Health Policy and Human Services Committee. Before taking his seat in the state Senate, MacDonald worked as an exercise physiologist and personal trainer, and later as a financial representative for Northwestern Mutual.
