Armada Area Schools issued the following announcement on Sept. 16.
In an effort to keep our families informed, we are sharing the following information. We had two high school students, two middle school students, and four elementary students test positive for COVID-19. In addition to those who have contracted COVID-19, three middle school students and one high school student will have to self-quarantine at home for ten days due to these cases.
We continue to work closely with the Macomb County Health Department (MCHD) and the district is following their guidelines and protocols. The guidelines require an unvaccinated individual that is exposed (less than three feet for greater than 15 minutes in a 24-hour period) to a person with COVID19 must quarantine at home for ten (10) days. A student or staff member that tests positive for COVID19 must also isolate for ten (10) days at home.
