Prosecutor Eric Smith issued the following announcement on March 2.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Sterling Heights Fire Department and the Farrell family regarding the tragic passing of Lieutenant Lorne Farrell.
Lieutenant Farrell selflessly dedicated his life to public service. We know those throughout Macomb County and Sterling Heights were incredibly well served by his dedication and heroic spirit.
