City of Mount Clemens issued the following announcement on Dec. 20.

The City of Mount Clemens, weather permitting, been turning water valves on December 20 and 21 in the areas or North Wilson from Lafayette to the dead end street and Lafayette between Groesbeck Hwy. and North Wilson to complete a water valve replacement. 

Should you experience any discolored water, open the cold-water faucet at your laundry tub for 2-3 minutes until the water clears up.  Additionally, air in the lines may be expelled for a short amount of time.  This is normal and will continue until all air is purged from the line.  Should you experience prolonged discoloration after running the faucet, please phone the water department at the number listed below.
