Macomb County Prosecuting Attorney issued the following announcement on Aug. 3.

Over the last two weeks, the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office ramped up community outreach. The office produced two different brochures, both of which provide community resources and office information, which have been disseminated throughout Macomb County.

The first brochure is a general “Office” brochure. It lists the 22 units within the Prosecutor’s office, with contact information for frequently contacted units. Furthermore, it provides information and resources regarding crime victim rights. It also contains information on how to report a crime and check the status of a case.

The second brochure is, “No Excuse for Elder Abuse.” It specifically identifies issues facing the elder and vulnerable adult communities, and available resources to the community. The brochure provide seniors, vulnerable adults, and their families with the tools necessary so they can live happy and healthy lives. It provides tips and tricks for spotting elder abuse and how to report it. It also provides contact information for additional questions and assistance.

“The senior booklet especially is so important to Macomb County families and their loved ones,” stated Prosecutor Lucido. “My office is committed to making sure the golden years stay golden.”

Staff in the Prosecutor’s Office has worked diligently to deliver these brochures throughout Macomb County. As of now, both of these brochures are present in all libraries that are a part of the Suburban Library Cooperative, law enforcement agencies, community senior centers, and many senior living facilities.
