Ordinance Enforcement Officer
Executes enforcement of all property maintenance and blight ordinances as directed by the City of Center Line Chief Building Official and City Manager.
Essential Duties
- Enforces property maintenance, blight, non-owner occupied and vacant property ordinances.
- Confers and advises individual property owners and/or their agents relevant to property maintenance, blight, non-owner occupied and vacant property ordinances.
- Issues property maintenance, blight, non-owner occupied and vacant property ordinance warnings and misdemeanor citations.
- May coordinate functions with other city divisions or departments.
- Attends meetings.
- Prepares reports.
- Maintains digital and manual files and records.
- Presents inspection findings in court cases.
- Will be required to learn how to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the Building Department and the City.
- High School Diploma
- Valid Michigan Driver’s License
- Excellent driving record and driving skills
