Macomb County Board Of Commissioners issued the following announcement on July 14.
Our Commissioners love our local waterways, which is why they advocate for protecting them and recreating on them. With temperatures and water levels on the rise they offer a few words of advice:
Be aware of dangers that can be lurking in the water, either floating on the surface or submerged by record high water levels (think docks, trees, pilings, etc.)
Avoid flooded areas
Know and respect local water regulations
Be aware of weather conditions
Have personal flotation devices for yourself and those you are recreating with on the water
