We handed out the last of all donated backpacks and supplies

Thanded out the last of all donated backpacks and supplies and wanted to give a huge thank you to our amazing community.  With your help, we handed out a total of 800 supply filled backpacks.  These were distributed evenly between Chippewa Valley, New Haven, Mt. Clemens, and L’Anse Creuse School Districts.   Badges and Backpacks was a great success and will make many students first day back to school much less stressful.  Unfortunately we weren’t able to get a photo of all the donations but do want to recognize those who donated: EKG Foundation $2500, Fraternal Order of Police $500, Burke Mechanical $500, Clark Construction $500, Marine Safety Officer Reserve Unit $250, Phil with Macomb County Alerts Facebook Page, and BOC Harold Haugh $100.

Thank you also to the Gillespie Family and Friends who donated 144 stuffed backpacks and the many staff, reserve officers, and citizens for their many donations.
