State Rep. Douglas Wozniak congratulated legislative intern Julia Sitek on Apr. 10 for being selected as a recipient of the Daniel Rosenthal Legislative Intern Award, which is presented by Michigan State University’s James Madison College and the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research.
Sitek, who is from Sterling Heights, was recognized with other interns from across the Michigan Legislature for her dedication, professionalism, and commitment to public service during her internship in Lansing.
“Julia has been an outstanding member of our team, and this recognition is well deserved,” said Wozniak (R-Shelby Township). “She has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for serving others. We are grateful for the contributions she has made to our office and proud to see her hard work recognized at this level.”
The Daniel Rosenthal Legislative Intern Award honors one of Michigan State University’s first legislative interns by recognizing students who show enthusiasm, intelligence, sincerity, and dedication to public service.
During her time in Wozniak’s office over the past several months, Sitek assisted with constituent services, legislative research, and daily office operations.
“Julia represents the next generation of public servants, and I have no doubt she has a bright future ahead,” said Wozniak. “We wish her continued success in all that comes next.”
