Free Boater Safety Class!

Did you know that those born after December 31, 1978 must have a boater safety certificate to operate a PWC (jet ski) legally. Did you also know that those born on or after July 1,1996, must have a boaster safety certificate while operating either a boat or a PWC.

The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office will be offering a free boating safety class to earn your certificate on Tuesday. January 17th and Wednesday January 18th  from 5pm  – 9pm. You must be present for both dates to earn you certificate.  Classes will be held at the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office; 43565 Elizabeth Rd, Mt. Clemens

To sign up for this class, please visit: https://michigan.storefront.kalkomey.com/…/assigne…/3358

Each attendee must create their own account using the listed link. Once an account is created you can search for available BOATER SAFETY EDUCATION classes through the website. Choose the MACOMB COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE to register. You must be registered to attend the and class size is limited so sign up ASAP.

In all seriousness, boating is a lo of fun but comes with huge responsibility and consequences when you don’t follow and/or know the law.  We love our Dive Team, but they don’t want to have to recover anyone from your boat.  Please boat safe and earn that certificate.
